1970. Ok, 1969. Alright ... '66 through '71. Whatever. Great times? Maybe. Great music back then? Shoot, yeah! Lucky Man Clark grew out of well ... ahem ... I ain’t gonna lie to ya. This music was born out of listening to the records that I listened to in high school. Period. The Band ANYTHING by The Band. Steve Miller Band's #5. Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde. The Rolling Stones' Exile and Sticky Fingers. The Beatles' White Album and the like. I just happened to be listening to 'em again and wrote these songs. Get the picture? I'm 47 years old [sound of anyone under 30 clicking off]. There. Now that all the kids have left ... Lucky Man Clark is: I wrote these tunes. I played some guitar and such ... no big woop. You've heard of most of these guys but you might not have ever heard of me. Not that I'm a nobody, mind you. I'm just not a somebody. You can read more than you'll ever wanna know about me at Guidotoons.com. Remember ... I ain't got me no fancy tour bus. Oh, yeah. This already-better-than-I-deserved group was augmented from time to time with: Kim Keyes and Vinnie Santoro, to name two, came over and sang a bit. Shoot, man; a whole bunch of very groovy and beautiful people came by and threw down. This music is honest. It was written when I really wasn't trying to write music. I just did. You might fall right in love with it. You might find it a bit old fashioned. You might find it makes a wonderful mini-frisbee or maybe a coaster. I hope it will keep your attention and maybe even give you a topic or two for the water cooler. Hey. At least you won't have to worry about what you think of Lucky Man Clark's image. There is no image. We ain't even got us no damn picture! Just honest, real songs with lyrics about things that might mean something to someone else with melodies and arrangements that blah blah blah. What can I say? Buy this disc. Lucky Man Clark. Seaworthy.
